Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Flin Flon Bombers had a very successful weekend defeating the Kindersley Klippers 4-0 on Friday and Saturday night.

On Friday, Bombers goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume made 30 saves for his second shutout of the season. Jaxon Martens led the way offensively with a pair of goals. Meanwhile, Jacob Vockler chipped in with two assists in his first game. Newcomer, Alex Von Sprecken also had an assist in his Bombers debut.

Bombers rookie goaltender Kenneth Marquart would get the nod for his second start of the season on Saturday night. Marquart would make 20 saves for his first career SJHL shutout. Local product, Joey Lies scored his first career SJHL goal and also had an assist in the win. Jaeden Mercier had a three point night himself and finished the weekend with four points (2G, 2A) in two games.

Klippers goaltender Logan Falk was sensational in both starts against the Bombers. The rookie goaltender made 98 saves out of 106 shots in two games.

The Bombers continue to be busy on the trade front. The team has acquired forward Wyatt Cook (03) from the Bonnyville Pontiacs of the AJHL in exchange for a player development fee. The product of Cold Lake, Alberta, had one assist in four games along with seventeen penalty minutes with the Pontiacs this season.
