The Flin Flon Bombers get set for another busy week as the team travels down south for four games in just five nights.
The trip begins on Tuesday night in Melville. The Bombers and Millionaires have played each other just once so far this season, with the Bombers winning 5-4 in overtime at the SJHL showcase. The Millionaires are currently 4-3-1-1 and are tied for second place in the Viterra Division. Millionaires forward, Noah Wills, currently leads the SJHL in scoring with 15 points (6G, 9A) in 9 games.
The Bombers will then travel to Estevan the next night. This will be a rematch of the SJHL final from last season. Despite a slow start, the Bruins have racked off 5 straight wins and sit on top of the Viterra Division. It will be a homecoming for former Bruin and current Bomber, Alex Von Sprecken.
Friday night the Bombers take on the Weyburn Red Wings. The Bombers got the better of the Red Wings at the SJHL showcase with a 4-1 win. Weyburn is just 3-7-0-0 in their last 10 games and currently sit in last place in the Viterra Division. Red Wings goaltender, Dazza Mitchell, has had a terrific start to the season posting a 2.20 GAA & .932 SV%.
The trip wraps up in Wilcox, Saskatchewan, against the Notre Dame Hounds. The Hounds are currently 2-6-0-1 to start the season. Hounds defencemana and team captain Jared Sych, is committed to Mercyhurst University (NCAA Division I). Sych has 7 points (3G, 4A) in 9 games.
