Mike Reagan – HEAD COACH & GENERAL MANAGER

Mike Reagan enters his 18th season behind the bench as the Bombers Head Coach & General Manager. Reagan took over the coaching duties after a dismal 2006-07 season, were the Bombers finished with an 18-38-0-2 record, their sixth straight season of fewer than 20 wins.  That first season Mike turned the team back into a playoff contender, finishing with a 33-21-4 record, a 32 point improvement.

Mike has compiled a 527-310-77 record over his eighteen seasons with the team and has guided the club to the SJHL Final five times, most recently in 2024. The Bombers also secured a spot in the Centennial Cup National Championships for the first time since 1993. The organization has also won five division titles under Reagan's tenure with the club.

Additionally serving behind the bench on the international level with Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge, Reagan has won two gold medals. First as the Video Coach during the 2015-16 tournament and then as the Head Coach in 2017-18. Mike was also a part of Team Canada West's staff at the 2016-17 tournament as an Assistant Coach. He was also awarded the SJHL and CJHL Coach of the Year for the 2023/24 Season

The team is on the cusp of a championship. He has an excellent eye for recruitment, having signed or traded for scholarship caliber players.  Since Mike took over he has had over 60+ players go onto NCAA or Canadian College/University hockey and six attend NHL camps, the most recent being Caleb Moretz. A number of former players have also gone on to play at the professional ranks including Andrew Johnston who signed with the Philadelphia Flyers, Carsen Chubak who signed with the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL and Donavan Villeneuve-Houle who signed with the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL.

Mike suited up for his hometown Bombers for four season and sits in the top five in most offensive categories including 4th in all time points and 1st in games played. After junior, Reagan accepted a full scholarship and played for four seasons compiling 81 points in 132 games with the Sacred Heart Pioneers.

Now back in Flin Flon after stints in pro hockey, his passion for the game, and especially the Bombers, is what helps him recruit players on his way to his ultimate goal, to build a championship.
