This weekend the Bombers get set for a pair of home games against the CJHL’s number one ranked team, the Battlefords North Stars.
The North Stars are currently on a six game winning streak and are having one of the best seasons in SJHL history. Battlefords is 40-3-2-1 and have a twenty point lead on the Bombers, who are currently sitting in second place overall.
The Bombers and North Stars have faced off twice this season with Battlefords winning both games 5-2 and 4-3 in overtime. The North Stars top line of Holden Doell, Kian Bell and Jake Southgate have combined for 221 points and are one, two and three in SJHL scoring. North Stars defenceman Tynan Ewart leads all SJHL defencemen in scoring with 45 points (6G-39A) in 45 games and goaltender Josh Kotai is ranked first in GAA (2.31), SV% (.937) and wins (27).
