The Flin Flon Bombers will look to get back on track when the Yorkton Terriers visit the Whitney Forum on Friday night.
The two teams squared off last weekend in Yorkton with the Terriers coming away with a 5-2 win and now lead the season series 2-1 after defeating the Bombers 3-1 last month in Flin Flon.
Yorkton currently sits in 9th place in the overall standings and are just 2 points outside of a playoff spot. After netting a hat trick last weekend against the Bombers, Terriers foward Dylan Ruptash continues to lead all SJHL rookies in goals with 13. Goaltender Caleb Allen continues to haunt the Bombers as he’s 2-0 with a 1.50 GAA & .967 SV% in his last 2 starts against Flin Flon.
The Bombers currently sit in 3rd place in the overall standings with a 17-7-2-1 record. Forwards Cole Duperreault, Jaeden Mercier, Jeremi Tremblay and Jaxon Martens are all among the top 20 scorers in the SJHL. Alexi Sylvestre continues to climb the SJHL rookie scoring leaders and now finds himself sitting 2nd, just 1 point behind Estevan Bruins forward Logan Ziegler.
Flin Flon is 5-4-1-0 in their last 10 games and will need to pick it up if they want home ice advantage in the 2023 SJHL playoffs.
