Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Flin Flon Bombers returned to the Whitney Forum for one game this week, defeating the Yorkton Terriers 3-1.

Rookie goaltender Kenneth Marquart would get the nod in net and would make 33 saves for his 5th win of the season. Returning from the Team Canada West selection camp, Jeremi Tremblay would get the Bombers on the board early in the 1st period with his 15th goal of the season. The Terriers would even the score on a powerplay marker by their captain, Logan Cyca.

The game remained tied until late in the 3rd period when Cole Duperreault’s shot from just inside the blue line would beat Terriers netminder Caleb Allen. Allen was sensational against the Bombers once again making 35 saves in the loss. Just over a minute later, Matt Egan would extend the Bombers lead with his 3rd of the season.

It was a much needed win for the Bombers as they now set their sights on the La Ronge Ice Wolves who make a visit to the Whitney Forum on Friday, December 16th.
