The first time these two teams played was on October 14th, where the Bombers won 2-1. This will be another good matchup for the Bombers as they look to extend their 14-1-1-0 record. The Red Wings are currently tied for 1st in their division and 5th overall in the league with 20 points.

The following day, November 14th, the Bombers will take on the Estevan Bruins (9-6-0-2) for their second and final game of the SJHL Showcase. This will be the second time the Bombers take on the Bruins this season. The first meeting between these two teams resulted in a 7-1 win for the Bombers. Being rivals over the past few years, this will sure be an exciting and tough game for both teams, especially in front of a neutral crowd. After the showcase, the Bombers will head back to the Whitney Forum for games on Friday and Saturday for their toughest and most anticipated match up of the season, a two game series against the Humboldt Broncos (12-1-2-1). This is the first time these two will play each other this season and it will be a match up the entire country will be watching. Last season, the Bombers knocked out the Broncos in the first round of the playoffs, and now, with the Bombers as the #1 team in the CJHL and the Broncos being #6, there is a lot on the line. Even though no trophy will be given out, this will be the biggest test of the season so far for the Bombers, with the Broncos having a top tier team and revenge in sight, you can bet it will be a very tough fought and exciting game. Playing at home, the Bombers will definitely have the advantage with the Whitney Forum fans looking to pack the zoo for the big game and really be the difference maker. Regardless of the outcome, this will be a game you don’t want to miss. The Flin Flon Bombers vs. the Humboldt Broncos, Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18, 7:30 PM at the Whitney Forum.
