The Northland Ford Flin Flon Bomber Player of the Week is ’03 Goalie, Harmon Laser-Hume!

This week, the Creston, BC product started in 3 out of the 4 games for the Bombers and was unstoppable, winning all 3 games. On Tuesday night in Warman for the SJHL showcase, he helped the Bombers beat the Estevan Bruins 6-1, only letting in one goal on 23 shots. But it was on the weekend, against #6 ranked, Humboldt Broncos at the Whitney Forum, where Laser-Hume really showed out. On Friday night, he had an outstanding performance, stopping 49 out of 50 shots to help the Bombers take a 5-1 win. Then on Saturday,  Laser-Hume continued with the unbelievable play, stopping 33/35 shots, along with making some game changing saves to take the win 5-2.  This week, Laser-Hume stopped 104 of 108 shots, had a 1.33 GAA and .962 SV %. Overall, after this week, Laser-Hume is now the 1st ranked goalie in Goals Against Average with 2.26, 3rd in Save Percentage with .923 and 2nd in wins with 12. Laser-Hume was also named the SJHL Goalie of the Week.

“Harmon had a great weekend. Friday night he made some huge saves early on which allowed our guys to get going. Saturday,  again gave us timely big saves when we needed it. It was Harmon’s best weekend of the season.” – Mike Reagan, Head Coach/GM
