The Northland Ford Flin Flon Bombers Player of the Week is ’03 Forward, Jacob Vockler!
This week, the Sioux Falls, South Dakota product was a vital part to the Bombers 3 wins on their road trip. On Tuesday night, Vockler had 1 goal and 2 assists in the big win over the Melville Millionaires in the first game. The following night in Notre Dame, despite not having points, Vockler was a big contributor on defense and made some huge plays to help them grab the 5-1 win. On Friday night against Weyburn, Vockler had 2 assists in the 4-2 win on his Birthday. Then on Saturday against the Estevan Bruins, Vockler didn’t gain a point but made some big break ups and played solid defense to keep the Bombers in the game. Overall this week, Vockler grabbed 1 goal and 4 assists for 5 points and 3 wins. This season, Vockler is currently 5th overall in scoring with 59 points (19 goals, 40 assists).
