This week the Bombers play 3 games total, starting on Wednesday against the Melfort Mustangs. Melfort currently hold a record 29-13-3-0 and is 2nd in the Sherwood Division and 4th overall in the SJHL . This will be the fifth time the Bombers and Mustangs will faceoff against each other this season. In the matchups so far this season, both the Mustangs and Bombers both have 2 wins. This will be a very important game for the Bombers as this could be a potential playoff matchup and will set the tone for the last months of the season. Melfort just came off two big losses to Humboldt so they will most definitely be looking to rally back against the #1 team in the country. Puck drop is Wednesday, February 14, 7:30 PM at the Northern Lights Palace in Melfort. The game will be broadcasted on 102.9 CFAR and FloHockey.
The Bombers will then head back home to take on the Battlefords Northstars in back to back games on the weekend. Battlefords currently holds a record of 32-9-3-0 and is 1st in the Nutrien Division and 2nd overall in the SJHL. This will be the third and fourth time these two will faceoff against each other this season. The last time these two played was a few weeks ago in Battlefords, where the Bombers took both of the games. This is a game that everyone is looking forward to as it will be a rematch of last years finals and a game between the #1 and #2 teams in the SJHL.
