Congratulations to ’05 Forward, Joey Lies, on being named the Northland Ford Flin Flon Bombers Player of the Week!
This past week, the Flin Flon local, played in both games against the Estevan Bruins and had a very important role in both of them. In the first game on Friday Night, Lies opened up the scoring with a beautiful shot right in front of the net after a big defensive play left him wide open. Despite the loss, Lies played a great game not only offensively but was a real presence on defense. On Saturday Night, Lies sealed the deal in the 3-2 win, grabbing the game winning and only goal in the third period to split the weekend series and grab 2 points for the team. Overall this season, Lies has 4 goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 37 games played.
