Koen Senft’s SJHL career high four-point night led the way for the Bombers as the team defeated Melfort 6-3 on Friday night. Carter Anderson had a pair of goals meanwhile Carter Cormier and Wyatt Stinton added singles. Stinton’s first period goal was his first career SJHL goal. Goaltender Massimo Urbani made 27 saves for his 4th win of the season.
The following night the Bombers travelled to Melfort looking to win back-to-back games for just the second time this season. The Bombers got themselves in penalty trouble by taking five penalties in the opening period. The Mustangs were able to convert once in the opening frame on a five on three. The wheels came off in the second period as the Mustangs extended their lead to 4-0. Anthony Piccininno got the Bombers on the board in the third period but that was all the Bombers could muster offensively.
The 4-1 loss in Melfort dropped the Bombers record to 5-4-1-0
