This is your Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview Powered by Elite Communications.
The Bombers begin a five game stretch at home starting this weekend against the red hot Weyburn Red Wings (4-4-0-0). Despite dropping the first four games of the season, the Red Wings have rattled off four wins in a row. Red Wing forwards Jerome Maharaj, Ethan Dekay and Jaxson Ruthven have been spectacular since joining the team as Maharaj’s eleven assists rank 2nd among all SJHL players, despite playing four less games than Melville Millionaire Caden Drury (Drury leads all SJHL players with twelve assists). In just five games, Dekay has seven goals and is currently committed to Michigan Tech (NCAA Division I). Ruthven has eight points in three games since rejoining the team from the NAHL.
During the Red Wings four game winning streak the team has scored twenty-five goals and has posted a 21% rate on the man-advantage.
The Bombers will look to get back in the winning column after dropping Saturday night’s contest 4-1 in Melfort. Flin Flon has won back-to-back games just once this season and have yet to play a game this season with a healthy lineup.
Flin Flon and Weyburn have already faced off this season with the Bombers defeating the Red Wings 4-2 back on October 4th in Weyburn.
