This is your Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview Powered by Elite Communications
This week, the Bombers play 3 games in 3 nights, starting on Thursday against the Humboldt Broncos. This will be fourth time the Bombers and Broncos will face off this season, with all 3 of the games going to the Bombers so far. Humboldt currently holds a record of 30-14-3-1, are 2nd in the Nutrien Division and 4th in the SJHL with 64 points. Humboldt has also been in and out of the CJHL power rankings throughout the season, they sat at as high as #2, but right now they are an honourable mention. So even though the Bombers have taken all 3 games so far this season, they have been close games and you can expect the Broncos to give Flin Flon a good battle especially on their home ice. Both of these teams have already solidified their playoff spots, so the only thing on the line for Humboldt is bragging rights and a chance to take down the #1 in the country. Puck Drop is Thursday, February 22, 7:00 PM ST at the Elgar Petersen Arena in Humboldt.
The Bombers will then go to Kindersley to take on the Klippers in back to back nights on Friday and Saturday. This will only be the third time these two will go at each other this season, with the Bombers taking the last 2 games, 8-2 and 4-3. The Klippers currently sit at 3rd in the Nutrien Division and 6th overall in the SJHL with a 21-21-4-2 record and 48 points. This will be a big game for Kindersley because as of now, they currently have a playoff spot but only by 8 points, so wins this weekend would be huge to solidify their spot in the playoffs. The Bombers should expect a very hard playing and eager Klippers team, especially considering they just came off 2 wins over the Humboldt Broncos. Puck Drop is Thursday and Friday, 7:30 PM ST at the West Central Events Center in Kindersley.
