The Flin Flon Bombers are thrilled to announce the signing of 2004 born defenceman Cheechoo Lathlin.
The product of Opaskwayak, Manitoba, suited up with the Norman Northstars U18 AAA program for the past 3 seasons. Lathlin had a strong 2021-22 season, where he put up 49 points (15g, 34 a) in just 36 games. Cheechoo was named to the Manitoba AAA U18 Hockey League’s first all-star team.
“Cheechoo was a player we kept a close eye on during the season. He had a great year offensively and was one of the top blueliners in the MU18HL. We feel Cheechoo has a very high ceiling and is a player that probably could’ve played junior A last season. Lathlin appeared in 6 games during the 2021-22 season with the MJHL’s OCN Blizzard. Cheechoo also suited up with the KJHL’s OCN Storm and had 7 points (5g, 2a) in just 2 games.
