The Flin Flon Bombers would like to Congratulate Athletic Therapist  and Equipment Manager, Jason Savill, on being named the Equipment Manager for Team Canada West at the World Junior A Hockey Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia, December 10-17 . Savill has served as the Bombers Athletic Therapist & Equipment Manager since the 2018-19 season. Savill is responsible for managing the extensive equipment needs of every Bombers player on a daily basis in order to help the team succeed on the ice. Jason is also responsible for medical orders, assessing and rehabilitating injured players. Jason has been selected to represent the SJHL at the annual SJHL/MJHL Showcase twice.

In addition to his tenure with the Bombers, Savill was also the Regina Cougars Equipment Manager from 2016-2018. Jason was invited to work an NHL preseason game between the Edmonton Oilers and Carolina Hurricanes.

“I mean it’s a huge honour to be selected, it still hasn’t sunk in yet. This is something Mike and I have talked about over the last couple of summers, and for it to be happening, it feels kind of surreal. I can’t wait to get out there and get started and show them how we do things up here in Flin Flon and come back with a gold medal!” – Jason Savill

The Bombers wish Jason and the team good luck in Nova Scotia and are proud to have him represent the Flin Flon Bombers at the World Junior A Hockey Challenge.
