Bombers Acquire SJHL Rights To Riley Niven

The Flin Flon Bombers have acquired the SJHL list rights of 2003-born forward Riley Niven from the Weyburn Red Wings in exchange for a 2024 4th round pick and future considerations.

Riley has spent the previous two seasons with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors and has produced 6 goals and 17 assists in 93 regular season games.

During the 2019-2020 season with the RINK Hockey Academy U18 program, Niven put up 54 points (23 G, 31 A) in 36 games as an alternate captain. The following season, Riley produced 8 points (2 G, 6 A) in 6 games as an alternate captain for the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA program.

The Moose Jaw Warriors currently have eight 2003-born players on their roster. WHL clubs are allowed a maximum of three 20 year old players on their roster.
