The Flin Flon Bombers would like to congratulate Bomber Alumni, Zach Bannister, on signing an Amateur Tryout Agreement with the Norfolk Admirals of the ECHL.
Bannister is a Grande Prairie, Alberta product who played for the Bombers during the 2019/2020 season, putting up 4 goals and 11 assists for 15 points in 18 games. Following his time with the Bombers he went on to play three seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Superior before playing this past season at Stevenson University.
In his four years of college hockey, the 24-year-old forward put up 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points in 88 games. This past season at Stevenson was the best in his collegiate career, tallying 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 28 games.
The Norfolk Admirals currently hold a record of 34-19-4-1 and are 4th overall in their conference and 7th overall in the ECHL with 73 points.
The Bombers are very happy for Zach and wish him the best in the rest of his hockey career.
