REAGAN AND BOMBERS AGREE TO TERMS ON A NEW TWO YEAR DEAL

The Flin Flon Junior Bombers are pleased to announce that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan will again be back behind the bench, after inking a new deal through till the end of 2021.

In 12 seasons with the Bombers, the veteran head coach and GM has never missed the playoffs. In 686 games as the bench boss, his record sits at 374 wins, with 252 losses and 60 ties.

Along with his 2 gold medals with Hockey Canada, one as an assistant, and the latest as the head coach, he’s the longest serving Bomber coach, and has the most wins as a Bomber coach. He’s had 8- 30 win seasons, prior to that the Bombers had only 6 30-win season in the past 23 years of being in the SJHL.

Here’s what Mike Reagan had to say on his new deal;

“I’m excited to be back for another 2 years. There were other options out there but at the end of the day the potential of hosting the national championship and ultimately the hunger to win the SJHL in Flin Flon is too great. I believe we have had teams that were close 3 out of our last 4 seasons. 2 of those teams losing in the finals. I believe in our players and this organization. I’m honored and take a lot of pride in being the coach and GM of the Bombers. There is nothing I want more than to win a championship for our fans.”

President of the Flin Flon Bombers Travis Rideout had this to offer;

“We’re very excited to announce the signing of Mike to a contract extension. With our bid for the National Junior a Championship, and Mike’s proven track record, it’s a no brainer to have him steer the team into the possibility of hosting this event. We’re ecstatic to have Mike and Cole signed through two seasons.  I know Mike is excited about his list and the players he has coming into for next season and 2020-21.”
