The Northland Ford Flin Flon Bomber Player of the Week is split between ’03 Goalie, Harmon Laser-Hume and ’05 Goalie, Kenneth Marquart!
The Flin Flon Bombers goaltending tandem had a great showing on their four game road trip this past week. Laser-Hume started in the first and third game of the trip against Yorkton and Estevan. He recorded his first shutout of the season in the 5-0 win over Yorkton and stopped 35/35 shots. Againt Estevan, Laser-Hume stopped 22/23 shots in the 7- 1 win. Marqaurt was in between the pipes for the second and final game of the road trip against Notre Dame and Weyburn. In the game against Notre Dame, Marquart also recorded his first shutout of the season in the 5-0 win, stopping 23/23 shots. Against Weyburn, Marquart stopped 27/28 shots in the 2-1 shootout win. Combined, the goalie tandem stopped 107 of 109 shots in 4 games with a .500 GAA. Right now, both Marquart and Laser-Hume rank top 8 in the league for GAA and SV%.
