Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations

The Flin Flon Bombers are looking for a Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations to join the team on a full-time basis. This position requires an energetic, organized individual who is passionate about junior hockey and the positive impact it can make on our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Game Day Operations: Organize and oversee game day activities, including volunteer coordination, souvenir booth and in game promotions. Act as a committed and visible member of the community, engaging with sponsors, spending time with our fans, and building relationships to deepen our impact.

Bomber Office: Oversee merchandise sales, ensure profitable margins.

Sponsor and Partner Management: Build and maintain relationships with sponsors and partners, focusing on strategic planning, revenue growth and successful execution of sponsorships.

Ticket Sales: Manage and oversee the ticket sales. Collaborate closely with colleagues on both the business operations team and hockey operations team to ensure alignment and maximize organizational efficiency

Requirements: 

-Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably in the sports and entertainment industry.

-Passion for hockey and a commitment to excellence.

-Financial acumen with the ability to analyze numbers, manage budgets, and achieve targets.

-Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

-Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

-Experience in evaluating small-medium size business opportunities is advantageous.

-Problem-solving mindset with a track record of driving results.

-Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to inspire and manage a team to perform and deliver on targets and objectives.

-Team player and strategic thinker with strong values, high work ethic, and the ability to execute with excellence

-Ability to work with lotteries for fundraising events

-Ability to manage and find a strong group of volunteers

 

Qualifications:

A strong passion for community and culture.

Exceptional organizational, leadership, time management and communication skills

Project management, partner management and media and promotions or market-related background and experience considered an asset.

Demonstrated efficiency and strong knowledge in Word, Excel, Canva Pro and graphic design is considered a strong asset.
