The Flin Flon Bombers hosted the Melville Millionaires in a pair of games this weekend at the Whitney Forum.

On Friday night, the Bombers would get off to a great start with a pair of power play goals by Quebec products Jeremi Tremblay and Alexi Sylvestre. In the second period, Liam Bridger would put the Bombers up 3-0 with a power play marker of his own. Millionaires captain Zach Cain would get them on board with his 11th of the season. The Millionaires would make things interesting in the third period by cutting the deficit to one until Bombers rookie forward Brent Gulenchyn would notch his first career SJHL goal. Flin Flon would hold on for a 4-2 win. Goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume would make 18 saves for his 8th win of the season.

Despite having to play their fourth game in five nights, the Millionaires would open the scoring late in the first period. The Bombers would storm back less than two minutes later on a power play marker from Liam Bridger. The Bombers would find themselves in a hole in the second period with the Millionaires taking a 3-1 lead with two goals just 51 seconds a part. Goals from Jaxon Martens and Cole Duperreault late in the second period would climb the Bombers out of that hole and send both teams to the dressing rooms tied up at three. In the third period, the Bombers would take the lead with goals from Jeremi Tremblay and Duperreault. Millionaires forward Noah Wills cut the deficit to one, however the Bombers would hold on for a 5-4 win. Rookie goaltender Kenneth Marquart made 28 saves in the win.

The Bombers currently sit on top of the Sherwood Division with a 11-3-1-1 record. Meanwhile the Millionaires dropped to a 6-10-1-1 record and now find themselves sitting in third place in the Viterra Division.
