This weekend the Bombers will take on the Notre Dame Hounds (0-5-0-0) in a double header at home. Both games on Friday and Saturday will be held in Flin Flon at the Whitney Forum, 7:30 PM CDT, with the Saturday game being Minor Hockey Appreciation Night. This is the first time this season these two teams will go head to head. Looking back at last season, the Bombers and Hounds faced off 4 times throughout the regular season with the Bombers going 3-1 in those games.
The Hounds are the only team in the SJHL yet to win a game this season with their closest contest coming in a 4-2 loss to Nipawin. That being said, the Bombers shouldn’t take this weekend lightly as the Hounds will be very hungry to get into the win column. The Bombers currently sit at 2nd in the Sherwood Division and 2nd overall in the league behind the Melfort Mustangs.
