Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview January 15 – 21, Powered by Elite Communications

This is your Flin Flon Bombers Week Preview Powered by Elite Communications.

This week, the Bombers have three games with the first one being a make-up game on Wednesday against the Nipawin Hawks (16-18-0-2), which was originally supposed to be played on January 12. This will be the fourth time these two will matchup so far this season, with the last three games going to the Bombers 5-3, 3-2 and 4-2. The Bombers should expect to see a good Nipawin team that is seeking revenge, especially after having close contests in their past three matchups. The Hawks will come out hard and fast just as they did in the last game and will definitely put up a good fight. The Bombers will have some new faces in the lineup as this will be the first game since the trade deadline. They should be able to get the win as long as they come to play with their high powered offence and physical defence. The Hawks are currently 3rd in the Sherwood Division and 5th overall in the league with 38 points. Puck drop is Wednesday, January 17, 7:30 PM at the Whitney Forum.

The Bombers next two games will both be against the Yorkton Terriers on back to back nights, Saturday and Sunday. This will be the fifth and sixth time the Bombers will play the Terriers this season, making it the final time these two will matchup. All four games so far have gone to the Bombers, but they definitely haven’t been easy. The Bombers have been down in every single game against the Terriers this season, except for the first one, where the Bombers won 5-0. The Terriers are currently last place in the Viterra Division and 10th overall in the league with 28 points, but despite the standings, they have shown their potential to make it a tough game for the Bombers. Regardless, it will be a great weekend of hockey at the Whitney Forum that the Bombers should win as long stay true to themselves. Puck Drop is Saturday, January 20th 7:30 PM CST and Sunday, January 21st 4:00 PM CST, both games will be played at the Whitney Forum.
