The Flin Flon Bombers held their Annual General Meeting this past Sunday, July 16, at the Bomber office on Main Street at 6:00pm. There was many community members in attendance and the agenda went as followed:
Presidents Report – President, Travis Rideout, opened the meeting by thanking all the sponsors, volunteers, coach’s, staff, community members and everyone that contributed to the team. Rideout also mentioned that the Bombers have never been in a better position financially and are regarded as one of the top organizations in the entire SJHL, according to a new grading system.
Coach’s Report – Head Coach and GM, Mike Reagan, also addressed the club by recognizing and thanking volunteers, coach’s, staff and community members for all the hard work that has led to the success of the team. He stated that despite not winning the league championship, the past few years for the Bombers has been very successful, appearing in the league final in 4 of the last 6 years, and making the playoffs every year.
Financial Report – Treasurer, Janice Slipp, summed up the meeting by doing an overview of the teams finances for the past year. For the 2022/23 season the Bombers made a profit $109,072. Slipp also announced that the Bombers have come to an agreement with Igniter Tickets, a leading-edge and fully-hosted ticketing platform.
The meeting concluded with elections for President and 5 Directors for two year terms.
Travis Rideout was elected back as President by acclamation.
The 5 Directors as per the election are: Matt Morrison, Adam Ricard, Tim Babcock, Billy Williamson and Kelly Mansell. They will join the current Board of Directors that have another year remaining on their contract: Jordy Dumeko, Allison Cooper, Hollee Babcock, Rachel Wright and Damian Dominey.
