The Northland Ford Flin Flon Bombers Player of the Week is ’03 Forward and Captain, Justin Lies!
This week, the Flin Flon local played in only 2 of the 3 games but had a huge impact in both of them. On Friday night, after being down 3-0 in the first period against Yorkton, Lies got the first goal to make it 3-1. Later on in the game he got an assist on a goal by Koen Senft to tie up the game and then got the gaming winning goal to take the win 4-3. Then on Sunday, the Bombers took on the Terriers again. Lies assisted on the first goal for the Bombers after being down 2-0 in the first period. He got another assist on the game winning goal by Noah Houle and also got an insurance empty net goal to make it 4-2. To sum up the weekend, Lies had 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in 2 games. Overall, Lies now leads the league in scoring with 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 total points.
