Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Flin Flon Bombers had a very busy week playing four games in five nights down south.

The trip began on Tuesday night in Melville with the Bombers defeating the Millionaires 7-2. Alexi Sylvestre, Cole Tanchuk, Jaeden Mercier, Jeremi Tremblay and Jacob Vockler all had multipoint games. After being acquired from the Bonnyville Pontiacs, Wyatt Cook scored in his Bombers debut. Bombers goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume made 20 saves in the win.

The next night the Bombers travelled to Estevan in a rematch of the SJHL final last spring. Both teams struggled defensively but it was the Bruins who would skate away with an 8-6 win for their sixth straight win. Bombers defenceman Alex Von Sprecken made his return to Estevan after appearing in 124 games as a Bruin. Von Sprecken would score his first as a Bomber and also chipped in with an assist.

The Bombers would get back in the win column with a 6-3 victory against the Weyburn Red Wings. Wyatt Cook continued his hot play with a pair of goals and Jaxon Martens chipped in with two assists. Jacob Vockler would score his third goal since returning to the Bombers which kept his five game point streak alive.

Last night the Notre Dame Hounds would get the better of the Bombers with a 4-1 win to wrap up the road trip. Bombers rookie forward Liam Bridger would score his fourth of the season on the power play late in the third period. Bombers goaltender Kenneth Marquart made 42 saves in the loss.

The Bombers currently sit in first place in the Sherwood Division with a 8-3-1-1 record.
