Two Bombers Invited to Team Canada West Selection Camp

The Flin Flon Bombers are proud to announce that forward Koen Senft and defenceman Luke Lepper have been invited to the Team Canada West Selection Camp. Senft and Lepper will be joined by SJHL players Jaxon Herchak (Kindersley), Connor Miller (Humboldt, Jacob Strizzi (Humboldt) and Oakley McILwain (Humboldt) at the selection camp.

Senft is currently the leading 2006 born scorer in the SJHL with 21 points in 22 games. The Regina, Saskatchewan product is in his second season with the Bombers after putting up 27 points in 50 games last season as one of the youngest players in the SJHL.

Lepper is also in his second season with the Bombers and has produced 12 points in 22 games so far this season. The smooth skating left-handed shot defenceman from Brandon, Manitoba currently leads all Bomber players in ice time, averaging just over 24 minutes per game.

Beginning Dec.3, the invitees will gather in Calgary to participate in practices and play a pair of intrasquad games as part of the final evaluation process by management and coaching staffs.

The final East and West rosters will be named Dec. 5 in advance of the tournament, which runs from Dec. 9-15 in Camrose, Alberta.

On December 7th, Canada West will play a Pre-Tournament game against the United States at 4:30 p.m. MT at Co-Op Place in Wetaskiwin.

The puck drops on the tournament Dec. 9 when Canada East, the 2023 silver medalist, opens against the United States at 3 p.m. MT, followed by Canada West, the defending gold medalist, facing Sweden at 7:30 p.m. MT.
