SJHL Rosters for SJHL/MJHL Showcase

The 2025 SJHL/MJHL Showcase Rosters have been revealed and 8 Flin Flon Bombers will be headed to Winnipeg at the end of the month.

Goaltender Matthew Kieper, Defencemen Luke Lepper and Liam Hunks, Forwards Leighton Carruthers, Keefe Gruener, Ryder Ringor, Anthony Piccininno and Koen Senft have been named to Team SJHL.

In 13 starts, Matthew Kieper is currently 12-0-0-1 with a 2.05 GAA & .936 SV. Kieper’s .936 SV% is 1st among all SJHL goaltenders. Luke Lepper and Liam Hunks are 2nd and 4th in SJHL defencemen scoring with 27 and 25 points each. Lepper has 15 points in his last 9 games and was a member of the Bronze medal winning Canada West Team at the World Junior A Challenge.

Ryder Ringor currently leads the Bombers in scoring with 40 points in 35 games, just 5 points shy of the SJHL scoring lead. Despite missing 9 games, Keefe Gruener sits inside the top 20 in SJHL scoring with 32 points in 26 games. His 1.23 points-per-game average is a team high. Koen Senft’s 30 points is an SJHL high for all 2006 born players so far this season. Senft was also a member of Team Canada West in December.

Despite getting off to slow starts, Anthony Piccininno and Leighton Carruthers have found their game in the last month. Piccininno has 10 points in his last 6 games and is nearly at a point-per-game rate with 27 in 29 games. This will be his second appearance at the showcase after getting selected last season. Carruthers has 15 points in his last 9 games, which included a 6 point night against La Ronge earlier this month. The product of Upper Tanallon, Nova Scotia has 19 points in 18 games since joining the Bombers in November.

The event will take place Jan. 27-29, 2025, at the Seven Oaks Sports Complex in Winnipeg, MB.
