Diane Krokosz Memorial Award – Most Dedicated Player: Natan Meunier-Roberge. The product of Boucherville, Quebec finished his first season with the Bombers appearing in 49 games on the backend, the most out of all Bomber rookie defenders. One of the hardest workers on and off the ice, Natan was always one of the first players to arrive at the rink, one of the first players on the ice for practice and one of the last players to get off the ice. Natan was also a staple in the community balancing school while also working for Keefe Gruener’s maintenance company.
Flin Flon Junior Bombers – Most Popular Player: Wyatt Stinton. This award was voted on by the fans during the final month of the regular season.
Howard Fox Courier Award – Mr. Hustle: Landon Alexander. Without a doubt, the hardest hitting rookie in the SJHL this season. Landon battled injuries to begin the year but made his presence known early when he made his SJHL debut on November 22nd against the Nipawin Hawks. Landon was unable to finish the playoff series against Weyburn, which was a huge loss to the Bombers forward group later on in the series. In 26 regular season games, Landon put up 4 points. Expect a huge jump in production next season for Landon.
LaValley Artworks – Academic Award: Leo Seitz. Leo Seitz attended Creighton Community School and maintained a 95% average while playing in 51 regular season games in his rookie season with the Bombers. Leo was the Bombers 1st round SJHL Draft Pick in the 2023 Draft.
Creighton Furniture & Appliance Centre – Defensive Player of the Year: Cole Tanchuk. For the second season in a row, Cole Tanchuk is the winner of the Defensive Player of the Year Award. The Captain for the Bombers just finished his fourth season as a Bomber and led the team in shot-blocks while also finishing in the top four in plus/minus. In majority of the games Cole would be assigned to shutdown the opposition’s top players. While doing so, Tanchuk was also able to put up 20 points in 56 games.

George Leel Memorial Fund – Most Points: Ryder Ringor. Ryder Ringor led the Bombers in scoring this season with 69 points. Ringor’s 69 points ranked 5th among all SJHL players.
Patty Ginnell Memorial Fund – Most Improved: Nash Holmes. Despite beginning the season as the Bombers number eight defenceman, Nash would work his way up the depth chart. The product of Whitehorse, Yukon appeared in 29 regular season games while also playing in 8 out of a possible 12 playoff games. The smooth-skating and skilled defenceman is expected to be relied on more next season and has the potential to be a top defenceman in the SJHL one day.
Nick Oklobdzija – Rookie of the Year: Ryder Mucha. Ryder Mucha is the first local product to win this award since Dillan McCombie back in 2011. Ryder led all Bomber rookies in scoring with 21 points in 50 games. Mucha’s 21 points was 3rd among all 2007 born forwards in the SJHL.
Darcy Bancroft Memorial Award – Best Defenceman: Luke Lepper. In Luke’s second season with the Bombers he was tied for the team lead in defencemen scoring with 39 points in 51 games. Luke’s 39 points was also tied for 5th among all SJHL blueliners. In 12 playoff games this spring, Lepper was nearly a point-per-game player with 10 points. Lepper also represented Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge last December in Camrose.
CFAR – Most Valuable Player: Matthew Kieper. The winner of the SJHL MVP and Goaltender of the Year Awards, Kieper had an outstanding season. The product of Winnipeg, Manitoba had a league best 1.80 GAA & .935 SV%. In 27 starts, Matthew posted a 23-2-1-1 record and played a significant role in helping the Bombers climb the standings throughout the season. Prior to Matthew joining the team the Bombers were sitting in 10th place. The Bombers would finish the regular season in 2nd place.
Chicken Chef – Unsung Award: Pierce Yakimchuk. Pierce was a staple on the Bombers blueline and played a pivotal role on their penalty kill, which finished 2nd among all SJHL clubs at 85%. Yakimchuk finished his second season with the Bombers which saw his games played total jump from 18 to 51. In 51 games this season, Yakimchuk produced 3 goals and 11 assists while finishing in the top 5 in blocked shots and plus/minus.
Pat Spiller Memorial Trophy – Leading Goal Scorer: Keefe Gruener. Keefe led the Bombers in goal scoring with 34 goals in just 47 games this season. Gruener’s 34 goals was 2nd among all SJHL players.
Coaches Award: Cole Tanchuk & Kylynn Olafson. The longest serving Bombers on the roster, both players began their careers during the 2021-2022 season. In four seasons with the Bombers, Tanchuk and Olafson helped lead the program to three straight league final appearances and a Sherwood Division title.
Tanchuk played in over 260 games as a Bomber (regular season and playoffs combined) and was the team captain in his final season. Olafson was an alternate captain for the team this season and the Lanigan, Saskatchewan product appeared in over 200 games with the maroon and white.
Burkee’s Sports Lounge – Playoff MVP: Ryder Ringor. The Bombers leading scorer throughout the regular season elevated his game come playoff time. Ringor led the Bombers in scoring with 17 points in 12 games. At the conclusion of the Bombers season, Ringor was leading the league in playoff scoring and his 8 goals was a league high as well.
F.A (Frank) Schieder Memorial Award – Community Service: Joey Lies & Kenneth Marquart. Joey Lies, the reigning SJHL Community Ambassador award winner was the Bombers nominee for the league award for the third straight season. The local product was a mentor at Ruth Betts Elementary School for the second year in a row and also helped out with the Flin Flon CanSkate program. Joey is also a part-time skills coach with minor hockey players in the area as well.
Kenneth Marquart upstarted the Sunrise hockey program in 2023 where himself and other Bomber players would work with Flin Flon minor hockey players in the mornings 2-3 times per week. Kenneth is also a certified goalie coach and would work with youth goalies in the area. Marquart has worked at Chicken Chef as a server for the l
