By Flin Flon Bombers, 11/29/17, 7:45AM CST

Flin Flon trade Rutledge for 1998 born defenseman Lindstrom.

The Flin Flon Bombers are excited to announce the acquisition of 1998 born defenseman Alex Lindstrom (Boise, ID) from the Grande Prairie Storm of the AJHL in exchange for 1997 born Kurtis Rutledge.  The Bombers also receives a PDF in the deal.

“We’re really excited to get a player of Alex’s skill set,” commented Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “He’s going to really help out on the back end and is something we’ve been looking for, for some time.”

The 6’2, 198 pound Lindstrom has appeared in 20 games this year with the Storm and has 8 assists and 16 penalty minutes.  He played in six games last year with Grande Prairie.

“Alex is a great skater, sees the ice really well and plays in all situations,” added Reagan.

The Bombers acquired Rutledge from the Calgary Canucks of the AJHL in the off season and after three seasons in the WHL, he appeared in 12 games with the Bombers before an injury and going home to await a trade.

Reagan is hoping Lindstrom is in the lineup when the Bombers host the Weyburn Red Wings tonight, 7:30 PM at the Whitney Forum.
