Kristian St. Onge (Saskatoon, SK) scored his third of the post season late in the second period, which was the eventual game winner, helping the Bombers to a 3-1 win and a 3-0 lead in their best of seven Quarter Finals against the Notre Dame Hounds last night.
The Bombers will look to finish up tonight when they play Game 4 (Game Time: 8:30 pm – Radio: 102.9 CFAR).
Greyson Reitmeier (Nakusp, BC) opened the scoring in the first with his first of the playoffs unassisted.
Notre Dame tied up the score just 1:15 into the second and it stayed that way before St. Onge’s power play goal from Nick Shumlanski (Tisdale, SK) and Eric Sinclair (Kenora, ON).
Jordan McCausland (Brandon, MB) scored early in the third from Cory Thomas (St. Brieux, SK) and St. Onge 6:34 into the third.
Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg, MB) continued his strong play making 20 saves in the win and sits with a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.952 in the three wins.
