Prospect Profile - Brody Madarash

By Flin Flon Bombers, 06/15/16, 12:45PM CDT

Recently signed prospect Brody Madarash.

Starting June 1, all SJHL teams are able to sign prospects to a standard card for the upcoming season.  In the next few weeks, will spotlight a few prospects that Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan has committed to for the 2016-17 season.

Brody Madarash – Martensville, SK – Beardy’s Blackhawks

The son of Flin Flon native and former Flin Flon Bomber Tim, Martensville, SK native Brody Madarash signed with the Bombers after the team's spring camp in Saskatoon.  Brody, who finished up his midget AAA career with 40 points (15, 25a) over 83 games split between the Prince Albert Mintos and Beardy’s Blackhawks didn’t quite put up the same numbers like his dad did,  258 points over four seasons with the Bombers, but Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan feels there is the potential.

“We feel that Brody can become an offensive threat,” commented Reagan.  “He has upside that he hasn’t realized or tapped yet.”

Reagan describes the right winger as a player with a ton of energy and is a tough to play against.

Madarash started his Midget AAA career with the Mintos where in 2014 he was on the Telus Cup winning team.

Another thing he has is an edge.  Madarash had 245 penalty minutes in those 83 games.
