The Flin Flon Bombers announced today that they have resigned Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan to a one year contract.
Reagan will return for his tenth season at the helm of the Bombers where the local product is the longest serving coach in the SJHL, coming off an emotional Canalta Cup Final where he guided the club to their first SJHL final in 23 years.
After mulling over offers from other teams, Reagan felt returning next year was best for him and the club.
“I felt that returning after the momentum we gained this year, and with the returning core of our young team was the best decision,” said Reagan.
Reagan has coached in over 500 SJHL games, compiling a record of 277-192-25-18 and is the longest serving coach in the SJHL. Joining him will be the entire staff from last season’s historical run, Assistant Coaches Gary Childerhose, Chris Bortis and Head Athletic Therapist and Equipment Manager Tanner Arnold.
“I’m really excited to be returning with this staff and the challenge of getting back to the league finals,” added Reagan. “It won’t be easy and all the pressure is on us to get back, but I feel that with what he have here, we can do it.”
