Bombers Visit Melville

By Flin Flon Bombers, 02/10/16, 1:15PM CST

Flin Flon looks to avoid back to back losses for only the second time since November.

Since November 13th, the Flin Flon Bombers have only lost more than one game in a row once.  That was a home and home against the Weyburn Red Wings at the end of January.

After last night’s heartbreaker against the Yorkton Terriers, the Bombers will try to avoid that same fate tonight when they face off against the Melville Millionaires in the finale of a two game road trip(Game Time: 7:30 PM – Radio 102.9 CFAR).

“We were really hoping to go into the weekend looking to be one point back of Melfort,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “But we’re going to forget about last night and get back in the win column.”

Had Flin Flon (29-16-0-4) swept the week day road swing, they would have had a chance to be within one point of the first place Mustangs when they face off on Saturday at the Whitney Forum.

Now they will face off against a Melville (14-31-1-1) team that is last place in the entire league, but has had the Bombers number this season, and is hungry to snap their current five game losing streak.

Flin Flon stands with a 1-1-0-1 record against the Mills this season with the last meeting dating back to December 12th, that night the Bombers easily handled Melville 7-0.
