Bombers Resume Road Trip

By Flin Flon Bombers, 01/22/16, 1:30PM CST

Flin Flon takes on Estevan tonight and Weyburn tomorrow, continuing their four game in five night road trip.

Extending to eight wins in on the line tonight when the Flin Flon Bombers continue their current road trip in Estevan tonight to take on the Bruins (Game Time: 7:30 PM – Radio: 102.9 CFAR).

Flin Flon (25-13-0-4) is in the midst of their second seven game winning streak this season and have moved up in the SJHL standings because of it.  Right now they are second in the Sherwood Divisioin, three points up on the Nipawin Hawks, but they now have the Melfort Mustangs, and first place in their sights.

They are five back of the slumping Mustangs with one game in hand.

Tonight they take on the Bruins (22-17-0-3) who are winless in their last two games but have a 6-2-0-2 record in their last 10 games.  The one thing favoring the Bombers, aside from the current hot streak, is their 3-0-0-0 record against Estevan this season, including an 8-3 win at the Whitney Forum on December 5th.

The Bruins made some moves at the trade deadline, bringing in forward Landon Gross and bringing in WHL released goalie Daniel Wapple, releasing former SJHL MVP candidate Tyler Fuhr.

Tomorrow the Bombers will end the four game in five night trip in Weyburn to take on the Viterra Division leading Red Wings (25-10-4-3) who they have yet to beat this season (0-2-0-1)(Game Time: 7:30 – Radio: 102.9 CFAR).
