By Flin Flon Bombers, 12/17/15, 7:15AM CST

Bombers now winners of five straight as they upend the La Ronge Ice Wolves, 2-1, in their first game of a four game road swing.

Two goals in the frist period and 30 saves from starting goalie Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg, MB) was all that was needed last night for the Flin Flon Bombers (16-12-0-4) to win their fifth straight game against rival La Ronge Ice Wolves, 2-1.

Mason Etter (Cedarburg, WI) opened the scoring just 5:54 into the first when the second year defenseman fired a shot from the point through a screen of people, beating Ice Wolves goalie Kris Joyce.  Tyson Empey (Swift Current, SK) and Rylee Zimmer (Russell, MB) each picked up assists.

It would stay 1-0 late into the first when Empey would pick up a pass in the neutral zone, skate into the Ice Wolves zone and fired a shot blocker side for his fifth of the season.  Zimmer picked up his second assist of the game with the second coming from defenseman Joseph Leonidas (Calgary, AB).

In what was a hard hitting game and at times chippy, both teams combined for 50 penalty minutes.

Robidoux made his second straight start and with the win brought his record to 12-7-0-3.  He was finally beaten :44 seconds into the third period on a power play goal.  Robidoux was fresh off back to back shutouts and had a shutout streak of 161:56 dating back to a game against the Notre Dame Hounds.
