Smith, Perillat Receive Weekly Awards

Two Bombers pick up Player of the Week awards after a successfull road trip.

For the second time is three week, Alex Smith (Edmonton, AB) has been named the Canalta Hotel SJHL Player of the Week for period ending October 19, 2014.

Smith and the Bombers hit the road this past week with a four game in five night swing that started in Humboldt on Tuesday.  He was help pointless that night but hit the sheet in a big way the following night where he put up six points (3g, 3a) helping the Bombers beat Estevan 9-0.

He finished up the road trip scoring a goal against the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday where the Bombers were able to do what no other team in the SJHL has done thus far, defeat them. 

On the season the 1995 born Smith sits fourth in the SJHL in points with 14 (5g, 9a) in 12 games.

Another member of the Bombers picked up a weekly honor as 1997 born Dustin Perillat (Saskatoon, SK) was named the SJHL Rookie of the Week.

Perillat started the season with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors and has played solid on the backend since his re-assignment to the Bombers on September 11th.

He scored once against the Humboldt Broncos on Tuesday and added another goal and an assist in the Estevan game on Wednesday to finish the road trip with three points.

On the season he has four points (2g, 2a) in nine games this season. Receive
