Former Bomber Attends Capitals Camp

Former Flin Flon Cole Wilson attends the Development Camp of the Washington Capitals

Another Former Flin Flon Bomber has caught the eye of an NHL team as forward Cole Wilson (White Rock, BC) recently attended the Washington Capitals Development Camp.

Wilson played two seasons with Flin Flon in 2007 – 09 where he posted 76 points (35g, 41a) over 95 games.  From Flin Flon Wilson was dealt to the Westside Warriors of the BCHL and then on to the Camrose Kodiaks of the AJHL where he was able to play in an RBC Cup.

He follows in the footsteps of Andrew Johnston (Philadelpia Flyers), Carsen Chubak (Philadelphia Flyers), Jesse Mychan (Vancouver Canucks) and Michael Young (San Jose Sharks), all former Bombers who have sent time in NHL Camps.

Wison has beem playing for the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds where in his third season this past he lead the team is scoring with 35 points and was named to the Canada West Second Team All-Star.

He attended the camp this past week and has been asked back for the team’s Rookie Camp that happens just prior to the team’s Main Camp.
