The Flin Flon Bombers announce the two players acquired to finalize the deadline deal they made with Battlefords for forward Cam Blair.

The Flin Flon Bombers are happy to announce the acquisition of two players to finalize the Cam Blair deal the team made with the Battlefords North Stars at the SJHL trade deadline.

The team has acquired 1996 born defenseman Braden Lacoursiere (Unity, SK) and 1998 born forward Brandon Lesko (Hafford, SK).

Lacoursiere appeared in 39 games last year with the Stars compiling 6 points (2g, 4a) and 20 penalty minutes.  Last year the 6’2, 200 pounder played with the Battlefords Stars of the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League where he had 21 points (5g, 16a) in 41 games.

Lesko is a 5’10, 165 pound prospect who had 26 points (9g, 17a) in 41 games with the AAA midget stars.

At the deadline the team had also acquired 1994 born forward Austin Evans who had 9 points (6g, 3a) in 18 games with the club.

“We are very happy to have acquired these two players,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “Braden is a big strong physical guy who competes hard every night.  He'll help make our back end solid."

This will be just the first in a long line of announcements in the next couple weeks of players the team will acquire.
