Bombers Hit The Highway

By Flin Flon Bombers, 01/21/14, 4:00PM CST

Team looks to get back on the winning track starting tonight when they take on divisonal foes, Nipawin.

The Flin Flon Bombers return to action tongight when they travel to the Cage in Nipawin to take on division rivals.

The Hawks are sitting pretty right now after easily defeating the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday night, 5-0, they currently lead the Sherwood division, two points up on the second place Melfort Mustangs.  The team is winners of their last two games, including a 4-2 win against La Ronge last Tuesday night, but the team is struggling a bit, only winning four of their last 10 games.

The only good thing for them is that the rest of the division is also struggling, including the Bombers, who start off a two game road trip that concludes tomorrow in Melfort.

Flin Flon has only won two of their last 10 and find themselves last in the Sherwood, six points behind the Hawks.

Infact, as of right now they are on the outside looking in as far as the SJHL playoffs are concerned, but have a few games in hand on the teams there are trying to catch in Weyburn (4) and Notre Dame (2) and have two games in hand on both Melfort and La Ronge.

After the road trip they host the Battlefords North Stars for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday.
