Back To .500

By Flin Flon Bombers, 11/18/13, 8:00AM CST

Flin Flon returns to .500 on the season with a pair of losses on the road.

The Flin Flon Bombers are again at .500 for the season.

The team were two games above that mark before they went on a two game trip this past weekend, and after losing a close one to the league’s top team in Melville, 3-2, they played the league second place team in Yorkton last night and it was a three goal outbreak in the second that helped the Terriers top the Bombers 4-1.

Four different Yorkton scorers hit the sheet with Kailum Gervais, Tyson Enzie and Dalton Menke all scoring in the middle period.

After Yorkton took a 2-0 lead, Bombers defenseman Danys Chartrand would make the score 2-1 with his third of the season.

Menke would retake the two goal lead just before the end of the period.

Daylan Katzke would score the Terrier’s fourth of the game at the 11 minute mark, on the power play.

Rookie goalie Simon Hofley made his fifth start of the season, and turned aside a 28 saves performance.

The team now returns home and to the Whitney Forum, when they host the Melfort Mustangs, who are one point back of the Bombers.
