This is your Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap Powered by Canadian Tire.

The 2024-2025 SJHL regular season is officially under way and the Flin Flon Bombers are .500 to begin the season.

The Flin Flon Bombers opened the 2024-2025 SJHL regular season with a 4-3 win in front of nearly 1100 fans in the team’s home opener. The story of the night was Nipawin Hawk’s goaltender, Tyson Endall who faced 63 shots and was sensational in giving the Hawks a chance to steal 2 points. Bomber forwards Koen Senft, Kylynn Olafson, Carter Anderson and Austin Montgomery-Parsons were the goal scorers and Kenneth Marquart made 17 saves for his 1st win of the season.

In a rematch of the SJHL final just under five months ago, the Bombers travelled to Melfort for the Mustangs home opener. Bombers forward Keefe Gruener would open the scoring with a shorthanded breakaway goal with two Bombers in the penalty box. Despite playing a solid first period, the Bombers fell apart in the second period giving up four goals. Gruener would add his second goal of the game, this time on the power play but Melfort’s solid defensive game would prevent the Bombers from making any sort of comeback. The Mustangs improved their record to 2-0 and would take the first meeting of the season between the two clubs 6-2.
