Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

On Wednesday night the Bombers came away with a massive 2-1 win over the Mustangs in Melfort. The win extended the Bombers winning streak to four games and now has the Bombers tied in second place overall with the Humboldt Broncos.

The Bombers got off to a great start outshooting the Mustangs 13-6 and took a 1-0 lead heading into the second period on a goal by Jaeden Mercier. After a scoreless second period, Wyatt Cook would extend the Bombers lead with his fourth goal in eight games as a Bomber. At the halfway point of the third period, Mustangs forward Jacob Hufty would get the Mustangs on the board.

Despite having to kill off a five minute major with under six minutes remaining, the Bombers would hold on for their 12th win of the season. Bombers goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume was stellar making 33 saves in the win.
