After getting defeated 4-1 by the Notre Dame Hounds last Saturday, the Bombers were able to get revenge last night with a 2-0 win over the Hounds at the Whitney Forum.
Jeremi Tremblay’s sixth of the season would break a scoreless tie on the power play just three minutes into the third period. Bombers captain Lucas Fry, would add an insurance marker with less than five minutes remaining to extend the Bombers lead. Fry’s goal was his first of the season.
Bombers goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume would make 35 saves for his third shutout of the season while Hounds goaltender Tucker Inabinet stopped 37 shots in the loss. Laser-Hume’s third shutout is currently a league high among all SJHL goaltenders.
Next up for the Bombers is a pair of home games next weekend against the Melville Millionaires. Next weekend is also the team’s annual parents weekend.
