Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Flin Flon Bombers wrapped up this week defeating the Estevan Bruins in a pair of games after losing to Melfort on Tuesday night.

In Melfort, despite outshooting the Mustangs 37-21 the Bombers would fall 5-4. Cole Duperreault continued his stellar play with a pair of goals meanwhile Jeremi Tremblay and Alexi Sylvestre also scored in the contest.

The Bombers would redeem themselves Friday night with a 5-1 win over the defending league champs, the Estevan Bruins. Duperreault and Tremblay led the way offensively with two goals and an assist each. Bombers goaltender Harmon Laser-Hume responded in a big way making 30 saves in the win.

Flin Flon would complete the weekend sweep of the Bruins with a much closer 3-1 win. Jacob Vockler’s 11th of the season at the 19:08 mark of the second period would end up being the game winner. Duperreault would yet again score in the contest for his 32nd of the season and 8th in his last four games. Laser-Hume got the nod again in net and was even busier having to make 37 saves for his 20th win of the season.
