Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap: Powered By Canadian Tire

The Flin Flon Bombers returned to action with 3 games this past week after a lengthy Christmas break.

The Bombers were able to kick off 2023 with a big 4-3 road win against the La Ronge Ice Wolves. The Bombers trailed 3-2 heading into the 3rd period but stormed back with goals from Jaeden Mercier and Jeremi Tremblay. Jacob Vockler and Cole Duperreault were the other Bomber goal scorers. Flin Flon outshot La Ronge 50-31 in the contest.

This past weekend the Humboldt Broncos came to town for a pair of games. Heading into the weekend, the Bombers were just 4 points ahead of the Broncos in the standings with Humboldt having a game in hand.

The Bombers would open the weekend with a 6-2 win before falling last night 2-0. Bombers forward Brock Mueller and defenceman Noah Houle scored their 1st career SJHL goals in Friday night’s win.

Flin Flon currently sits in 2nd place overall with a 22-8-2-1 record.
