Flin Flon Bombers Week Recap November 4 – November 10, Powered by Canadian Tire

The return of forward Keefe Gruener helped propel the Bombers to a 6-2 win over the first place Melfort Mustangs. The Winnipeg, Manitoba product had a pair of assists in his return meanwhile recently acquired goaltender Matthew Kieper was solid in his Bombers debut stopping 23 shots. Carter Anderson had a pair of goals and Anthony Piccininno, Rhett Ewen, Reid Arberry and Ryder Ringor added singles. Ewen’s marker in the first period was his first career SJHL goal.

The following night the Bombers travelled to Nipawin to take on the Hawks and were able to come out with a 5-2 win. This was the first time the Bombers have won back-to-back games in over a month. Carter Cormier had himself a night picking up two goals and an assist for his first three-point night of the season. Luke Lepper and Koen Senft also had multipoint games and goaltender Kenneth Marquart made 22 saves in the win.

The Bombers will look to carry this momentum to Kindersley next weekend for a pair of games against the Klippers.
