The Bombers clinched second place with a 5-1 win over the visiting Battlefords North Stars on Friday night. Bombers forward Keefe Gruener scored his 31st and 32nd goals of the season and defenceman Luke Lepper chipped in with a goal and two assists. Forward Ryder Ringor also had himself a three-point night and Koen Senft was the other Bomber goal scorer. The Bombers power play was lethal going three for eight in the contest.

The following night the Bombers completed the weekend sweep of the North Stars with a 3-1 win. Local product Wyatt Stinton scored his 9th of the season and Lepper’s power play marker at the 9:04 mark of the third period ended up being the winner. Rhett Ewen’s empty netter sealed the game with just under two minutes remaining.

The Bombers have just three regular season games remaining beginning on Tuesday night in Nipawin. Flin Flon will then wrap up the regular season with a home and home series against the La Ronge Ice Wolves.
