The Flin Flon Bombers extended their streak to points in 20 straight games with a 5-1 win over the visiting Kindersley Klippers. Reid Arberry led the Bombers offensively with a pair of goals while also chipping in with an assist. Recently acquired defenceman Liam Hunks had a pair of assists and now has 3 points in his first 3 games as a Bomber. Ryder Ringor, Wyatt Stinton and Keefe Gruener also scored in the win. Matthew Kieper made 25 saves and has yet to lose in regulation since joining the Bombers at the beginning of November.
The animosity between the two clubs carried over into Saturday night’s game but the Bombers would complete the season series sweep with a tight 3-2 win over the Klippers. Gruener had a pair of goals and Anthony Piccininno’s third period marker held up as the game winner. Kenneth Marquart made 26 saves on his 20th birthday for his 7th win of the season.
The Bombers will now hit the road for 4 games in 5 nights beginning on Tuesday night in Melville.
